During the COVID-19 Pandemic I was bored. I decided to start posting regularly on Instagram.
I posted cat pics daily, And I cheated the algorithm to gain an immense following in just weeks.
I kept on improving, and with the motivation of this clout chasing, I started focusing more on the pictures, And less on the clout.
Once I started editing my photos, that’s when everything changed.
I messed around with lightroom on my phone during the summer of 2020, I had fun doing it so I started to watch editing tutorials. then I went into a rabbit hole of photography-related YouTube Videos, which really kickstarted my interest in photography.
A few weeks later, I rapidly improved my photography by leaps and bounds. I got offered to be a photographer for the Dunsmuir Chamber of Commerce, but I never got to do anything, the manager left. but he Referred me to Shareen Strauss who was the photographer for our newspaper at the time.

What Is My Motive?
My reason for photography, besides the fun, is helping to build our community and advertise it to the rest of the world in the way I know best.
I’m the new kid in the community, and I want to share my experiences of the fire and be a part of the community.
To me, photography is an art of observation. It’s about finding something interesting in an ordinary place… I’ve found it has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them.
