So far 11 atmospheric rivers have hit California, bringing heavy rain to the valley, and deep snow in the mountains.
Of course, being 2290 Ft high means we usually get more snow after a brief period of warmth but we definitely didn’t expect a storm of this magnitude.
Currently, we have about 50in or 4.1 feet of snow in Dunsmuir. But we are expecting one last blast before spring.
This storm has caused numerous roofs to cave in, and minor power outages throughout Siskiyou County; though they only really last for a couple minutes.
On the bright side, It’s been a very lovely storm with hella fluffy snow (great for making snowmen and igloos.) As well as bringing down so much extra snow to snowpacks all across the golden state. We’re all hoping we won’t have a drought next year!
Here are some photos of the storm
